Our names are Jodi and Gerry and we live in Spruce Grove, Alberta, Canada. In the summer of 2006 we purchased lot # 15. Jodi is a System Software Specialist for one of Canada's best construction companies and Gerry is a teacher.
Our personal goal for the lot is to build within the next four years and live in Mexico for the majority of the time. There are so many things to learn before we get there!
We will be returning in July 2008. We are hoping to search for an architect/builder and to find out as much as possible about building. We have heard there are four owners who might be getting ready to build. It would be great to see someone building next summer!

Sunset Beach is sold out. Sunset Shores (a few kilometers east of Sunset Beach) is the next development by TransCaribbean Trust Company.look at the website www.yucutanbeaches.com for more information. I bouth a lot at Sunset Beach (and also have one in the Costa Maya through TCT) from Don Newman. I bought the Sunset Beach lot sight unseen, just based on the relationship I had developed with Don and TCT. I saw Sunset Shores in November - my first trip to see my lot at Sunset Beach. Right now, you get there with a 4x4. Road is not improved and no electricity. Was told by Don Newman that the road will be improved shortly and electricty run. Lots are pretty - more palm trees than Sunset Beach. Passed lots of flamings going from Sunset Beach to Sunset Shores. Very pretty. Can't wait to start building.

Hi Jodi and Gerry. I am new to this bloq thing. I live in Stony Plain and we have bought land in Celestun, MX. We bought it last October. We are hoping to start building in the new year. My problem is floorplans. I am not sure where you find any for Mexico. They say mexicans can do anything with concrete. Our friends own www.celestevida.ca and we have bought the land nest door. Their house is beautiful and have made great use of the jungle and ocean winds for circulation in their home. I am wondering if you have found any plans,books etc that I may find useful. I love the outside of the 1st home at Sunset Beach but couldn't see any floor plans. I have stumbled along Flamingo Lakes and seen those floor plans.
